“Seeds of Hope” is a diocesan-wide effort in Los Angeles, which encourages parishes to transform their campus properties into fertile and productive gardens that help address healthy food access for struggling populations.
On behalf of our local partner, the Foothill Unity Center, which runs the primary food distribution center in the San Gabriel Valley out of their offices here in Monrovia, St. Luke’s is in the process of repurposing appropriate stretches of its property into orchards and vegetable gardens. We have planted twenty fruit trees as well as a vegetable garden on the Wildrose border of our property and welcome any volunteers who would like to help us maintain them.
Please contact the church office if you’d like to help with our Seeds of Hope program.
